Origo grew out of two worlds that are almost never known by the same person: the sea, and the African bush. Not studied from a desk, not learned on a familiarisation trip. Known, over years, from the inside.
What matters is not the itinerary, but the considered details. It is the moment a place actually reaches you. The morning the water is still enough to hold the sky. The guide who stops for something you would never have seen. Those are not sold from a brochure.
